Smirili is a specialized nature experience design company rooted in the stunning Cycladic ecosystem of Naxos. Our approach combines scientific depth, creative education, and authentic local living to craft outdoors experiences that stay with you long after you’ve returned home.
Built on Expertise, Driven by Collaboration
Since 2023, we have built a strong network of local and international business collaborations, working alongside associations, NGOs, social cooperatives, and Erasmus+ project partners across Europe. These partnerships allow us to offer unique, high-quality experiences—from regenerative travel workshops to youth and adult education programs—that you won’t find anywhere else.
Our team’s background includes advanced training in environmental science, permaculture design, sustainability education, and even Arctic guiding (certified by the University of Lapland, Finland). This rare combination of Mediterranean warmth and Arctic rigor means every Smirili experience is as safe as it is inspiring.
Our Story
Smirili was founded by Natasa Chatziioannou, an environmental educator and sustainable travel ambassador whose passion for nature has taken her from the Arctic to the tropics. Today, she brings that global expertise home to Naxos, designing every experience with scientific depth and genuine heart
